My condolences to the victims of the major earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
I was informed that our friends in Turkey are doing well.
I heard that Turkey provided a great deal of assistance to Japan after the earthquake that devastated the country in 2011.
It was reported that rescue teams from Japan are also on their way to southern Turkey this time.
It is hard to see the damage expressed in large numbers in the news reports. I also hear that it is very cold there.
I sincerely hope for the earliest possible recovery.

トルコとシリアで起きた大地震で、被害に遭われた方達へお悔やみを申し上げます。
トルコの友たちは元気だと連絡があった。
日本が2011年に甚大な被害をもたらした地震の際はトルコから多大な援助があったときく。
今回日本からの救助隊もトルコ南部へ出向いていると報道があった。
報道を見るたびに被害が大きく数字で表されるのが辛い。また現地は非常に寒い時期だときいている。
一日も早い復興を心から願っています。
