ad I'm looking back to the magical moments before his little sister entered the world. 🥹 We love going to the park and to soft play, but probably like most parents I am conscious of Alfie picking up bugs in public spaces. He had bronchiolitis at Christmas and was so ill, and I’m especially conscious now we have a newborn in the mix!

So I’m very happy to be supporting Sanofi’s Together Against RSV campaign to help raise awareness of RSV. As parents, it’s important for us to have the information we need to better understand RSV, what can be done to prevent infection and how to spot the signs and symptoms of RSV-related illnesses.

For those of you who don’t know (because I didn’t), RSV is short for respiratory syncytial virus, it's a common and contagious virus and causes infection in the lower part of the respiratory system in infants. These are known as lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs).
RSV is a leading cause of LRTIs and hospitalisation in children worldwide, affecting around 90% of infants by their second birthday.

Some of the types of infections that can be caused by RSV include bronchiolitis, pneumonia and croup.
Most RSV illnesses in babies are mild and clear up on their own, however some cases can be more serious and require hospital care.

So to make things easy for us parents, Sanofi has launched an informative website, www.togetheragainstRSV.com, which provides accurate information and helpful advice about infant RSV.
