用賀で、まるでサンセバスティアン/ドノスティアの旧市街のバルのような料理が食べられるとは! チャコリもシードルも、リオハの赤(テンプラニーリョ)もまさしく! な気分でした。「旅の三日目くらいの感じ」と、同行者と深く頷く。やっと現地に慣れて、お腹も空いて、緊張もとけて、旅程は余裕の前半戦。そんな感じの夜でした。

When was the last time three friends and I rented an apartment in the old town of San Sebastian in the Spanish Basque Country? Looking back, I think we were there at the city's finest moment. The bars were booming, crowded but not so much that they were overtourism. Arzak, a three-star Michelin restaurant, was the epitome of culinary entertainment. Since then, Tokyo has seen an increase in the number of bars and restaurants serving Basque cuisine, but I had no idea that there were such authentic restaurants. All were delicious!
