I felt slightly nervous to share it as its a really personal one about the ongoing hurdles of my current relationship but considering that the inner workings of our close partnerships are often so strictly guarded and shrouded in secrecy they often leave us feeling ashamed, inadequate and stuck in a state of fear when conflict shows up (as it always will!), so it felt important and powerful to share. IG is full of photos of perfect Kodak couple moments, not that more is owed to us but that makes it hard to get a deeper sense of what it actually takes to make them work. After all it’s not our fault we aren’t really taught love as a skill and not just an emotion but we can learn! Currently trying to ride the waves and tides of love without clenching so hard onto a necessary outcome, to really live in the present moment and to be grateful for change however it shows up. To remember to always try to move from a place of love over fear whatever happens. That there are so many different ways to be in relationship and create family and it’s just about learning to see them anew.
