I like to say that the three of us connected through art. After they came back from 7 weeks vacationing in Europe, they emailed me and invited me to their home. They live on beautiful Grove St., and the moment I met them, I felt and greeted with warmth and kindness!❤️ We immediately clicked!! . If you have not heard or read about Richard and Michael…they are the talents behind the birdhouses of Grove St. Richard, an award winning documentary film producer, and his husband Michael, and interior designer and author meticulously hand select each birdhouse they install on the street. Richard had a dream that Grove St became the block with the beautiful birdhouses. Well, we can say, that dream came true!! Richard is a resident of Grove St for more than 40 years and met the love of his life, Michael on the corner of Bleecker St and Grove St (I have yet to discover more about this on our next tea time). Michael, is in charge of installing the birdhouses and he carefully installs each house to make sure that it’s seen from walking view, but placed high enough so no one is tempted to touch them. They bring such joy to the block. I always cut through Grove St from my apt when I go to Health and Harmony on Hudson St. just to see the birdhouses. Please take a peek online as there’s lots of articles about Richard, Michael, and their birdhouses. 🏠🌳 . I know I say this all the time, these are meaningful moments I cherish. We all have a story to tell and if were fortunate enough…we are the ears to those stories. I had such a wonderful time!!
