But Rivera wanted to give Chavez "permission to be soft," to embrace self-healing and find strength in her ancestry.   Chavez, Marvel’s first Latina LGBTQ+ superhero with her own series, made her live-action film debut in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," (2022) where she dodges demons and attempts to evade the Scarlet Witch.
