It was maybe the 3rd ascent of the free route originally put up by @mason_earle and @bradgobright, though I’m not really sure who else has been up there over the years. By funny coincidence, two strong Germans were up on the wall climbing the route at the same time (though they did a different start to avoid a particularly big downward dyno). So we got to share a night hanging with them in the lobe of the Heart. Overall, I think we were both struck by how hard it felt to free climb on El Cap if you haven’t done it in a while. Our skin hurt, the climbing felt hard, and we generally struggled a bit. By day 3 on the wall I was starting to feel a bit more tuned up, but also very tired.
