Someone told me today that they know people who don't use the aspirator and just go in with their mouth!! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE REVEAL YOURSELVES 🤣🤣🤮 You know, one of the biggest misconceptions I had when I first had a baby was that it would take a few weeks to have it all figured out. I remember saying to people, just give me 6 weeks. Or 'yeah I think I've almost got it figured out!'. Like there was just one puzzle piece missing. Motherhood feels like you just get one piece of the puzzle there and then you lose 5 and they're all the wrong shape. 😂 But you know what, it definitely gets way more joyful and easier in some ways. But the juggle never really seems to go does it?! Especially when you have to mum like you have no job but job like you have no kids. The show must go on! Sometimes it feels like having two full time jobs but you can tell each role about the other! 😂 Anyway, I'm grateful in these times to work for myself so I can have her with me when she's poorly. I did laugh last night as I woke up at 4am to wash off my spray tan. Like, I'm absolutely mad. Never in my childfree life would I ever understand setting an alarm to wash a spray tan off, I'd just do it at a time that suited. But honestly, I have to get her to bed first to have the best chance of letting it set. Wipes at the ready in case she wakes. 😂 obviously a tan is by no way essential but it always makes me feel SO much more confident in my skin. I mean, we gotta do what makes us feel good. What makes us feel like ourselves, as we navigate postpartum bodies and the sleep deprivation. It just stops me looking grey! Anyway, hoping that Alf doesn't go down too! Although as much as I never ever want either of them to feel ill - it does feel like such a privilege to be the person they want for comfort. I feel so lucky to be lying here next to them whilst so many children are suffering. I lie awake at night feeling hopelessly sad and I just hope so much for peace. ❤️ I hope you're all doing ok.🙏」11月3日 5時54分
