An Autumn Foliage Festival at the Shiranoe Botanical Gardens🍂🌳
The Shiranoe Botanical Gardens in Kitakyushu is a roughly 7.5-hectare park overlooking the Suonada Sea from a low hill. Here you can enjoy seasonal flowers, such as cherry blossoms in spring and water lilies in summer, as well as about 800 Japanese maple trees that turn yellow and red from late November to early December.🌼
The gardens were cleverly designed to take advantage of the hilly terrain. Near the entrance is an 80-year-old Japanese-style folkhome that can also be used as a free lounge, offering gorgeous views of the foliage.🥰
An autumn foliage festival is held in the garden every year in late November. Attractions include a tea room serving matcha, local specialty products on sale, and mini-concerts.🍵
