A selection of images from the Magnum archive relating to Israel, Palestine and the surrounding areas, dating back eighty years.

Magnum photographers have covered several key moments in the decades-long history of conflict and tension between Israel and Palestine, starting with @philippe_halsman_official’s photographs from 1936 showing tension building in Mandatory Palestine and continuing up until October 2023, with recently published work by @william.keo, @jeromesessini and @pvanagtmael from Israel and the West Bank.
