지난 8월 17일 목요일, 월곡사회복지관을 통해 저소득층 어린이와 청소년 꿈나무 5명에게 장학금을 기부하는 작은 전달식이 있었습니다.

제가 555m 롯데월드타워를 완등했던 날, 1m를 오를때마다 1만원씩 555만원을 어려운 이웃과 나누고자했던 저의 약속과 다짐을 지킬 수 있게되어 저에게 정말 뜻깊은 하루였습니다.

장학금은 소중한 아이들의 간절한 꿈을 이루어주기 위해 두 학기 동안 각자 재능분야의 학습지원비로 쓰일 예정인데요, (월곡사회복지관 관장님께서 10원도 허투루 쓰지않겠다고 약속하셨습니다?) 그 꿈에는 멋진 쉐프도 있고, 유명 헤어디자이너도 있고, 으뜸가는 커피 장인도 있었습니다. ?

나의 꿈으로 나의 작은 노력의 결실로, 또 다른 누군가의 소중한 꿈을 응원할수 있다는게 너무나 기쁘고 감격스럽기만 합니다.
앞으로도 기쁜 나눔을 꾸준히 실천하며 살고싶다는 작지만 소중한 꿈을 조심스레 품어봅니다. ☺

It was a great day, because I was able to keep the promise that I made to myself. The day when I climbed the Lotte Tower 555m, I promised myself that I would donate 5,550,000 won (10,000 won for every one meter of the building that I would climb) for the people in need.

On Thursday 17th August, I was able to donate the money to Wolgok Social Welfare Center for youths. The money will be spent for the students’ education to help them achieve their dreams.
I feel very blessed that I can support somebody achieving their dreams by doing my best in climbing (which is my dream)?! I have another dream which is to keep the joy of sharing with other people last for the rest of my life, and I am very happy to share this small dream of mine with you! ☺
