Meet the Saddlebill Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis)! This long-legged avian lives in sub-Saharan Africa, where it can be found in river, lake, or swamp habitats. Using its long bill, it strikes fish, amphibians, and crustaceans in shallow waters—sometimes tossing its catch in the air before gulping it down. Just how tall does the Saddlebill get? On average, it’s about 4.7 feet (1.4 meters) tall!
