Thinking of coming out? Whether you're coming out for the first-time or coming out to new people — friends, family, coworkers — it can feel vulnerable and overwhelming! So we asked people in the LGBTQIA+ community to share their experiences and offer tips on how to take it one step at a time. For starters, queer therapist Daniel Tehrani said that the most critical step is to start by coming out to yourself to help you practice patience, kindness and self-acceptance — before deciding when or who to tell next. "There is nothing more meaningful in this world than feeling safe enough to just be yourself," Tehrani says. "Keep pushing, don’t lose hope, and keep looking towards a future where you can be yourself." Want to know more? Visit the link in our bio to read all 6 tips about coming out at any stage in life.
