This year, the Costume Institute benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art honored the designer Karl Lagerfeld, and his muses could be seen throughout the party.  “Karl knew me, and he was able to design for me, but he was also really playful and fun,” said Nicole Kidman, who entered the party with the director Baz Luhrmann. She wore a dress designed by Lagerfeld for a Chanel No. 5 commercial Luhrmann directed in 2004.
