My predictions: ⁃ There will be less stratification according to musical expertise (ie singer, writer, producer, studio musician)….similar to content creators, multi-hyphenates will create songs from start to finish ⁃ As a result, you’ll see a lot more people who the writers, singers and producers on their tracks ⁃ Hits will no longer be made solely in fancy studios, but in peoples’ bedrooms ⁃ Tech co’s will create distribution platforms (ie @stem perhaps??) that enable AI vocal royalty calculations simple and painless ⁃ Labels will eventually sign up because they won’t want to miss out on the financial upside ⁃ Artists who consent to licensing their voices for AI “style transfer” uses will make money …but this is really just the beginning.
