In this #ExperimentWithAI, I used vocal style transfer to transform my vocals into @ケイティ・ペリー’s.

Note: if you want to learn vocal style transfer without having build your own model, Google Colab seem to currently have the most options, but if you’re looking for the easiest plug-n-play tool, I recommend Uberduck.

Obviously this technology has huge implications for the music industry. Some artists like Grimes are already embracing the tech; others will be more reticent. My two cents is that consenting artists and labels will eventually use software to easily track the use of an artist’s vocal likeness and collect royalties that way.

If I had had this tech as a kid, I would have been blissed out creating the next @ブリトニー・スピアーズ track.
