Here's a little taste of our weekend because we really had the perfect trip away as a family of 4. It felt like a proper holiday full of firsts and fun. 🥹🔆

We stayed at a place called the Lakes by Yoo in a 3 bed apartment with the nicest interiors ever and views of the lake. It was SO peaceful, we actually hardly saw anyone apart from when we went to the pool or the restaurant.

It's self catered, which was actually really nice as we did a big online shop to be delivered just before we arrived - although we did actually eat at the restaurant for father's Day brunch - the food was amazing and the coffee even better! We went to a very cute local fish restaurant one night too, and the other night we ate on our balcony overlooking the lake. It felt like a date with both the babies being asleep, which when we have a breastfed baby - is the closest we'll get to it being just us on a date for a while. It was so special. ❤️

Alf went swimming about 3 times a day and I even got to take Ada for her first swim. Tommy's been taking Alf to swimming lessons ever since Ada was born and I honestly cannot believe how confident he is. It was so special to see him holding onto the side and going underwater. 🥹 It seems silly when so many people can swim, but I felt so so proud of him. They did have a sauna and steam but sadly neither of us got to use that because babies and toddlers 🤪

We cycled, we drove around all the lakes and we felt like we really really got to relax. Oh and Alf really enjoyed the playground - especially going on the swings with daddy.

We both said it would be such a nice place to go to with the family as they grow (as our babies are a bit young for zip wires, tennis courts etc this time round) or for a fun weekend away with friends for a fun weekend away.

10/10 weekend. Highly recommended! The Cotswolds are just such an incredible part of the country aren't they?

Here's to many more adventures as a family of 4. I honestly just feel so lucky to have my little fam right now and to be experiencing life with a baby out of lockdown. It's crazy to think that we were locked down with Alf for the first 4 months! 🥹❤️
