Video by @クリス・バーカード | Constructed in the late 1950s to provide flood protection for the Santa Maria Valley in California, the Twitchell Reservoir held little to no water because of the state’s ongoing drought. But after significant unexpected rainfall this year, the reservoir has become almost unrecognizable. This past spring it was home to a bald eagle (center), the body of water presenting a dramatic change in hunting grounds for the bird of prey.
