Days later, on Saturday night in Bridgehampton, New York, artists and patrons rode golf carts up a long, hedge-lined path to an event for Ballroom Marfa, a contemporary art and performance space in West Texas. The institution was holding its Summer Party, a benefit celebrating its 20th anniversary. Attendees were served yuzu margaritas by the pool before moving to a long, winding table for dinner. Cory Kennedy wore a Meruert Tolegen top with cross-stitched red flowers. “I’m not someone who can just put a dress on and feel very comfortable, especially with the mosquitoes,” she said.
