Pepón Osorio's "Convalescence" examines critical failures in the United States healthcare system. Informed by conversations with doctors and patients, as well as the artist's own experiences as a cancer survivor, "Convalescence" considers the fragility of life and the pitfalls of a for-profit healthcare infrastructure that fails to take into account the dignity and humanity of all people.
