The brief for Michael C. Hall’s (@mchdaily) New York apartment? “We wanted color!” the ‘Dexter’ star tells us. Enter award-winning designer Sara Bengur (@sarabengur), who met the actor and his wife, Morgan, at a designer matchmaking program at the New York Design Center. “They loved the casual elegance of British country homes with the florals and patterns and feeling of design elements layered over time,” Bengur says. “And like me, they love color.” The resulting spaces are defined by saturated hues like pistachio, purple, and turquoise, but the primary bathroom got a lighter touch with a pale pink wall paint (Calamine by @farrowandball) and an assortment of John Derian decoupage plates and trays.
