When conceiving the interior scheme of this 2,700-square-foot open-plan apartment, Polish designers Zuza and Piotr Paradowski (@paradowskistudio) made scale a priority. The opted to divide the spaces with hulking units they refer to as “blocks.” In the main bedroom, for instance, a freestanding monolith of Calacatta marble houses a decadent shower and abuts a Bordeaux-hued vanity on the opposite side. Was it a lot to digest when first described? The clients thought so. “They weren’t sure at first,” Zuza says of the couple. “But in the end they loved it.”
