Thank you @grace__bonney for this opportunity! One thing I’ve learned on this journey is the importance of creating a space that provides peace. My goal is always to help people fall in love again with their space and belongings. Refreshing a design does not mean you have to overhaul the entire room with new furnishings and a huge budget. Take an assessment of what you have. Maybe that chair you hate in the corner of the bedroom, would look great in the livingroom. A sofa can take on a whole new look with pillows And pillow covers are an easy way to achieve this. (I am a pillow-cover collector--ok, maybe hoarder). But the most dramatic change of all--and my favorite starting point, is with a can of paint. Whether you are painting the walls or furniture, a change of color will transform the space. _____________________ My favorite design project of all has been our home. We fell in love with the character and details of our 115 year old house and I wanted to maintain that while bringing the design into the 21st century. First things first, I changed the color of walls and floors (check out the before pics in stories). The change added instant modernity and a blank slate. I paired our modern furnishings and art (all resources tagged), with of course lots and lots of plants. Plants add life and a welcoming vibe to the space. ———————————— It has been great hanging with you all today!
