I don't know if it's being out of lockdown so the days go faster, or having a toddler too, or that time is genuinely on fast forward... But I just want to freeze time for a bit and have that newborn bubble a little bit longer. 🥹❤️ But she's definitely no longer a newborn. This is the first week I've noticed that she doesn't just want to chill and sleep anymore. She wants to play and be entertained - can anyone offer tips on things to do with 15 week olds? I've got the Baby Einstein piano mat back out the cupboard, the bouncer (she's not that into it compared to Alf), a rattle ... What else? Honestly, so far I've loved every moment of the last 15 weeks. Apart from the c section trapped wind. 🤣 That was horrific. But life has just been rosier since Ada appeared and life as a family of 4 is so lovely. It's so nice to see Alf really starting to interact with his sister. And very cute to see the way she dotes on him already - when he's around she just watches him. This is what being 15 weeks old looks like in Ada's world: 🌍🫶 LIKES: her brother, people, being bopped on the nose, having her mouth squeezed, sitting up and pretending to walk, foot massages, wooshing in the air - IT MADE HER GIGGLE FOR THE FIRST TIME! Sleep! I cannot believe that she's slept through the night a few times already and that she goes down in her bassinet awake. Honestly, I didn't even believe either of those things were possible, it really does go to show that every baby is different because I'm doing exactly the same this time round as I did with Alf! DISLIKES: lying down in the day - that's for babies! Bottles. We're still exclusively breastfeeding, and we've been too lazy on the bottles. I really wanted to futureproof the ability to leave her if I need to, but hey - we've both been so busy I'm trying to be kind to myself. There's still time! She's honestly the sweetest little human, and it's so nice getting to know her. I can tell she's an old soul. And she was also just born happy. Honestly, she opens her eyes and smiles.
