Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” grossed $155 million in the U.S. and Canada between Friday and Sunday, while Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” brought in $81 million domestically, according to the movies’ distributors.
Films on big screens in the U.S. collectively grossed $302 million during the three-day period, making it the strongest weekend of 2023 for theaters in North America and fourth-strongest weekend ever in the U.S., according to Comscore.
