What do you do when a tricky space stumps you? You turn to Pinterest…or the runway, in the case of Manhattan couple Daniel Cole and Nick Grinder. While Cole had no concern for the cooking space “to have any practical use whatsoever” (his words), home cook Grinder found himself inundated in pins. “The board had every color, every configuration of kitchen,” Grinder says. “Then Daniel said, ‘No, I’ve figured out the kitchen. It’s this.’ And it was a Prada store.” Their interior design team, Studio DB (@studio_db), ran with the fashion-forward cooking space, adding marble counters and backsplash as well as clever pink-painted pocket doors.
