“You don’t want the architecture and interior design competing with each other,” says the owner of this ethereal Hollywood Hills house. Which is why he brought on architects Brett Woods and Joseph Dangaran (@woods_dangaran) and ELLE DECOR A-List interior designer Andre Mellone (@studiomellone) for the job. The architects used clever compositional elements—built-in wood niches, floor-through sight lines—to visually divide the home’s grander proportions into something more intimate. Overlooking the dining room is ‘Nude and Palms (Pink Triangle)’ by Chris Ofili. The vintage chandelier is by Venini, the vintage table by Paul T. Frankl, and the 1950s chairs are by Gio Ponti.
