You don’t want to dip your cookies in the Amazon milk frog’s (Trachycephalus resinifictrix) “milk.” This amphibian’s common name refers to the poisonous, milky substance it secretes when under threat. This nocturnal frog inhabits the rainforests of South America, where it rests on leaves during the day and hunts for insects to munch on during the night.
