Seeing @christyphillipsadkins punch the wall during this handstand push-up couplet at the CrossFit games completely changed me.

She is the first girl I looked up to as an athlete and she left a mark on me with her passion and grit. During the event she started to fail her handstand push-up and she was so mad that she punched the wall. She didn’t yell at her judge wasn’t huffing and puffing, she was just F*!king Piss.

. While some people may have had they own opinion about the behavior as a fellow competitor all I saw was her passion and grit and it moved me.

As a young aspiring athlete this opened the door for me to let go of expectations of how a lady should act and that our inner strength is beyond what was portrayed in magazine and on TV. This single event was the catalyst I needed to know that it was okay to be Raw, Strong and unapologetic.

Not only that but that in fact these traits were thing I aspire to have in order to be an Alpha Women. Thank you Christy ❤️
