Meet the bush dog (Speothos venaticus)! This wild canine finds its home in forest or wet savanna habitats from Panama to northern Argentina. It has a semi-aquatic lifestyle and is a skilled swimmer, thanks to its partially webbed feet. During the day, it hunts for a variety of rodents such as agoutis, pacas, and capybaras. At night, it returns to its den, which may be an abandoned armadillo nest or hollow tree trunk.
