I really poured my heart into each room trying to make it a beautiful home. The home I always hoped to have. It sounds strange but when I was in my lowest place with postnatal depression, I poured so much more into trying to create the perfect home. I obsessed over it. Rather than going out and socialising (when I couldn't), I stayed in and made home plans. Most importantly, a home full of love and laughter. If you remember me from my pink flat days, I really wanted to create something calmer. A place of peace and tranquility. It's sort of weird to be leaving a place that you have poured so much love into. That you have so many happy memories in. But sometimes no matter how much you try to fit all the pieces, the jigsaw doesn't seem finished. That's a terrible analogy - sorry! 🤣 I'm so tired. I wonder how many people moved in that lockdown haze. When life felt so different. And how many find themselves being pulled back now? We miss London. For many reasons personally and professionally. My friends being a big part of it. I didn't really realise how much motherhood would change my life. And moving away from my community at that important time hit me hard. It feels weird when most people leave the big smoke but I want it back. But there's no rules. No timelines. And just because things feel right to others, doesn't mean that's right for everyone. And there's so much more to think about as a family. Where do you see your children? How do you envision your family? And I truly think the happier the parents, the happier the children . It's such a beautiful home. But I'm excited to get back HOME. But that doesn't make the move any less bittersweet. We've met amazing people here. Amazing people who have become family. Anyway, we're not going anywhere just yet, but I found myself looking through videos of each room tonight. We've done so much. It's weird that for lots of people they'll see just a house.
