Shout out to Museum visitor @lisalollirock, who recently reunited with T. rex!🦖 Fun fact: this skeleton, on view in the Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs, is known as AMNH 5027, and about 45 percent of the exhibit is real fossils. The specimen was found by the Museum's famous fossil hunter Barnum Brown at Big Dry Creek, Montana in the early 1900s. T. rex lived 69 to 66 million years ago, at the very end of the Late Cretaceous Period. It remains one of the world's most iconic dinosaurs.
