Waking up hangover free, taking the littles swimming, going on adventures. Even watching a movie at home on the sofa (usually one of the Julia Donaldson ones on iPlayer, or the Lion King!). But if I'm honest, I find the night times lonely. I've always been a social creature! If you remember me from my single days you'll remember I was always out or always having dinner parties at mine. I miss the nights and the friends. I feel like it's something that just never came back into my life after lockdown! But I've learnt to rationalize these thoughts better than when I was in this phase with Alfie, and not let it consume me as much. Firstly, I need to be kind to myself. This isn't forever. Firstly, soon I'll be closer to friends again! But secondly, I'm in the baby stage. The Breastfeeding, the broken sleep the cosleeping. I miss my friends and I miss my weekends. But soon they will come again. But I'll never get back the late night cuddles. The nights cuddled up with my little bear cub. The phase where both my babies think I'm the best thing in the world. Their home. Their sanctuary. This phase is hard. But it's also blissful. And what I've realised is there's always a sense of mourning. But when I used to live for my evenings, I often found the days lonely. Now it's in reverse. But I'm riding the wave. And so grateful! The joy I got today from the littles getting their swimming certificates was unmatched. I also power washed our garage with the patio cleaner and that satisfaction was also fairly unmatched - tell me you're in your 30s!🤣🤪✌️ So I'm sat here rationalising my thoughts. Fantasizing about that weekend away I'm going to go on with my girlfriends when I'm able. And for now, I'm sat cuddling up to Ada with a glass of wine ready to watch Breaking Bad. It's lucky I'm not married because I'm leaving Tommy behind and watching episodes without him and I think that's grounds for divorce 🤪 but he's off out and I'm not 🤪🤪 Cheers to the weekend, and however that looks to you right now in whatever chapter of life you're in. ❤️✌️💫」10月1日 4時17分
